Moy Riding Centre
Where horse and rider come first
The Moy Riding Centre is a family run, child friendly equestrian farm located outside the village of Summerhill on the Meath/ Kildare boarder. Established in 1990 by Helen Fox and run jointly with her son Michael, the school has thrived from year to year. The farm nestled in rolling Meath countryside is the ideal place to discover the joy of horse riding and to enjoy the full immersive experience of a working equestrian farm.
We are a family run business and our central aim is the development and social interaction of adult’s children of all ages as they grow alongside our horses. The school is run on the lines of a small, close-knit club. Parents and students alike socialise with the same central love of horses.

”After so many years of trying different places, I found this little slice of paradise and it's reigning queen Helen. I was made to feel so welcome, introduced to anyone and everyone who crossed my path. Helen is a lady. She drips enthusiasm and joy and plainly loves being around horses and enabling others to do the same. As an instructor she is one in a million and after only a few lessons has given me so much confidence. I cannot recommend her and her wonderful Moy highly enough.Suzi PollockRaharney
”The Moy is much more than a Riding School its a place where kids develop all aspects of Equestrian skills in a friendly environment that promotes teamwork and excellence driven by high teaching standards from Helen and Michael. Our 5 daughters have been attending The Moy for over 10 years and we would highly recommend The Moy Riding Centre for all kids of any level.Stuart YoungsonMoynalvey
”If you are looking for a enthusiastic learning curve for your child look no further, I've sent my daughter to the Moy for 8 years now and Never looked back...As far as teachers come they simply do not getter better than Helen, Michael and the gang at the fabulous Moy, simply cannot praise this yard enough for their dedication to children and their animals.Linda McGourtyBallivor
”The Moy Riding Centre has meant so much to myself and my family that it is hard to begin this. It has been a second home to my children and a lovely, peaceful refuge for their parents. Helen and Michael welcomed us unreservedly, taught my children the value of hard work, perseverance and encouraged their passion for the sport of horse riding and all things equine. We made lifelong friends at the Moy, beautiful friends who supported us through bad times, grief and illnesses. We also made a new life for ourselves by moving to this lovely County of Meath. Although my Children are mostly adults people still comment on their riding skills when they compete and we return to Michael at the Moy for private training whenever college and school permit. The Moy has been a wonderful place for my family and could be the same for yours too!Jean MasseyRathmolyn

”Well Well ! Where to begin ? Are we a part of The Moy or is The Moy a part of us? It seems like The Moy has molded us into it's very bosom & we succumbed willingly. I have been tied to this wonderland of playful animals laughing children card playing adults since day 1 ...I have watched my brothers & my cousins grow up there climbing trees hiding in stables & apple orchards....riding the duck walk & learning in lessons...finding fairies under the willows, and all the time, peels of laughter from each & every nook & cranny. Today I watch my own children out treking & hunting.. mucking out & hacking out....lounging around the yard with never more than inches away from some 'favourite' pet be it dog, duck, horse, chicken, rabbit, cat ... to name but a few! I don't know where the years have gone....flying by or fleeting moments... but all the while the most wonderful magical memories have been made in this mystical place. I just can't wait to see what happens tomorrowClaire O'MearaKilcock
”I started riding at the Moy riding centre 10 years ago and throughout this time I have progressed from having weekly lessons to competing at SJI level and that's thanks to Helen and Michael's knowledge and guidance. Their expertise is second to none and have helped me successfully complete my AIRE and BHS stage 1 examinations. I have had some of my best childhood memories here from pony camps to beach rides to trips to places like the National Stud. I can't recommend the Moy highly enough, whether you just love horses and want to have some fun, or are looking to progress to competition level, the Moy is the best place to start.Bethany YoungsonMoynalvey
